Payment can be taken by cash or card at the time of your appointment.

Ear wax removal £65.00

Ear wax removal is performed using microsuction and, when necessary, manual tools. The fee is £65.00 for one or both ears. If complete removal is not achieved during the initial appointment and a follow-up is needed, there will be no additional charge for the follow-up appointment.

If you attend an ear wax removal appointment and no wax is found, there will be a £25.00 consultation fee. During this time, we can discuss any concerns that led you to seek an audiology consultation.

Ear Wax Removal Home Visits are available at a cost of £75.00

 

Hearing Test £50

At Rachel Duprey Audiology Services, we carry out an Advanced Hearing Assessment for £50. This is more complex than any free hearing screening test you will receive at the large Audiology chains. This 45 minute appointment includes Pure Tone Audiometry, Speech in Noise testing, Audible Contrast Threshold (ACT) test and Tympanometry to test the function of your middle ear.  Should the hearing assessment highlight any medical concerns, then a detailed referral letter will be sent to your GP to request further investigation. Should you wish to continue into a discussion about hearing aids, we can do so. However, there will be no pressure to purchase any hearing aids.

 

Hearing Aids

We work with a range of hearing aid manufacturers and offer a variety of styles and technology levels, ensuring that there is a hearing aid suitable for everyone. The price of a hearing aid depends on the level of technology you require and will be discussed in a friendly consultation with no pressure to purchase more than you need.

 

Custom made ear moulds

The cost of ear moulds vary slightly depending on whether you are having sleep moulds or swim moulds, and whether you are ordering any accessories to go with them. However, to give an idea, the cost of a basic pair of swim moulds or sleep plugs is £110.00 including the impression fee.
